Cobble Driveway Patio
Yard Crashers is taking it on the road and crashing Chicago. Host and licensed landscape contractor Ahmed Hassan finds homeowners with a giant backyard of grass, a cracked driveway and decrepit screened in porch that he's ready to transform. In just two days, the backyard is torn down and built back up with a giant antique cobble driveway patio that leads to a revived screened in porch complete with indestructible screens and one giant remote control screen the opens up into the backyard. Plus, they introduce an old piece for a new fire pit by using an antique sugar kettle shipped in from Louisiana. They build up beautiful stone around the sugar kettle and it's ready for the fire. A brand new barbeque, new grass and two truckloads of plants make this yard complete.
A River Runs Through It
This crash muscles its way through the storm of the century to turn a neglected backyard with an abandoned water feature into a rustic mountain retreat for this outdoor loving couple. Ahmed and crew take the best parts of the homeowners' "river in progress" and transform it into a giant waterfall spilling into a running-water river bed winding around the yard and emptying into a new fire feature. Next, efforts are turned toward rehab'ing an existing patio by adding flagstone to increase the "hang out" space. The extra space creates a home for their beloved grill as part of a new outdoor kitchen featuring chunky leathered granite counters.
Perogla Seat Wall
A disastrous backyard gets a major facelift. What was once a rotten retaining wall, plain dirt and shabby fence becomes a classy outdoor hangout. In two days, this backyard totally transforms as a pergola seat wall, moss rock water feature and tile patio take center stage. Plus, the homeowners have a ton of shade preventing grass from growing so host and licensed landscape contractor Ahmed Hassan uses recycled rubber mulch to create a soft surface.
Industrial Metal Bar
An engineer's yard turns into an industrial paradise with a custom metal bar at the centerpiece with a little help from host and licensed landscape contractor Ahmed Hassan. Different types of metal are mixed to create a unique bar structure with rustic concrete counters and a steel awning overhead. A fire/water feature functions as another social gathering area and a cedar hot tub tucked into the landscaping creates a private oasis for two.
